Our Baby Congee With Organic Rice Germs consists of congee made of organic rice germs, precooked with meat and mixed veggies and undergo food grade technology to vacuum and sterilized packed into retort pouch bag.
What is retort ?
Retort is a process of food preservation that involves heat sterilization of packaged food.
The process involves placing the food in a sealed container/pouch and subject to high temperature
to eliminate microorganisms that can cause spoilage of food. The food is first pre-cooked, sealed in container, heat using steam/hot water in retort machine.
Once the sterilization process is completed, the containers/food pouch are cooled rapidly to preven recontamination.
This process is commonly used in food industry and proven to be effective in providing a shelf-stable food, while maintaining its quality and safety.

How to use?
A. Sous Vide: Put the whole pouch into a pot of boiled water for 3-5min
B. Thermos Cooking: Place the pouch into a thermos, pour in boiled water and simmer for 10-15min.
C. Microwave: Pour the content into a microwave friendly bowl, heat up for 40secs. Do not heat up the pouch directly.
